Carolyn, Jesslyn, Jennifer and Dragonsniper leapt atop Earthwing as the demons converged on them. As he flew off, Earthwing unleashed an earth spell, causing massive fissures to erupt in the ground. The demons shrieked as they stumbled into the gaps.
As they flew off, Jesslyn yelled:" Where to?!"
Dragonsniper thought about it, and replied:"Rhapsodia! At least we can stay there for awhile!"
Jesslyn steered course for Rhapsodia at his words.

Xepher, Sieghart, Kaithlyn and the still-unconscious Kaffleen, carried by Xepher, raced through the chaotic wastelands, the former guardian and the psychic clearing the way through obstacles, living or not.
They had sensed vague yet familiar forces of magic nearby. Thinking it one of those exiled by Aria, they set an immediate course in that direction.
Lo and behold, they found Shadowz and Huntagon in the midst of a titanic struggle against what could only be a Shadow demon.
As one, Sieghart and Kaithlyn charged at the demon. They shouted at it to attract it's attention, and it certainly worked. It worked so much that it sent a ball of pure shadow at them.
They would have been disintegrated, if it wasn't for Shadowz's manipulation of the shadows. He made the ball arc back at the demon, and it exploded.
Only to reform again. Shadowz swore colourfully.
Sieghart performed an intricate series of actions, gesturing quickly.
The shadow demon shrieked in unadulterated agony as a blinding light speared through it. It was eradicated instantly.
"...huh. Thanks. We couldn't have killed it without you." muttered Huntagon.
"We gotta get outta here. Do you guys know the way?" asked Shadowz.
"Ruby might...but he's off somewhere else..." said Xepher uncertainly.
"Wait...I feel another magical emanation. This one is...stronger. Come on!" urged Sieghart.

Emily screamed in fury as she ripped through the demonic horde, nunchakus swinging madly, releasing elemental energies of ice and lightning. She had slain countless demons, and now stood on a pile of corpses as she continued to defend herself.
Suddenly, a heavy slam on her head caused her to stumble. She groaned, and blacked out.
