Deathsong Chronicles - Nocturne 1

Emily and Jennifer stared at the faraway horde of fiery demons. "We gotta go." muttered Emily. Jennifer nodded assent.

Just then, a small group of demons converged at the small encampment. The stout warriors there let out cries and attacked the demons, and Dragonsniper yelled at the two girls:" Come! We must go!"

Carolyn and Jesslyn joined the two girls, and they fled with Dragonsniper, the demons close behind, intent on capturing Jennifer, as the catalyst to open the portal to the Great Dark Beyond.

"Go, go, go!" shouted Emily as she turned around to hold the horde off. "We're not leaving without you!" returned Jennifer.

"No! You're the catalyst, and you're pregnant! You're not in top fighting form! Just go, damn you!"

"...just get outta there alive." with that, Jennifer fled with the others. Emily glared at the encroaching horde, and yelled as she charged.

Xepher, Sieghart, Kaithlyn and the limp form of Kaffleen, unconcious by the exorcism of Aria, were catapulted through dimensions, realms and time itself. It was both instantaneous and eternal, and when they emerged, it was into a mad world, consisting of chaotic energies everywhere and massive rocks floating in the air.

They slammed down onto the ground, and as they recovered, a swarm of flying shadow-ish creatures, a cross between sharks and gryphons.

Xepher whipped out Cypheria in sword form,standing guard over Kaffleen. Sieghart prepared his runeblade, and Kaithlyn drew her Hi Rai Nodachi.

As the cloud of shadowbeasts charged at them, they leapt into the fray.Xepher let a swarm completely engulf him, then performed a blade dance, slicing 360 degrees around him again and again, from all angles.

The result was dead pieces and shadow-like rain upon the ground.

Sieghart summoned lightning from his hand to obliterate several shadowbeasts, and slashed at some more, skillfully chopping and stabbing at the creatures. The former guardian muttered a spell, and fires burst out of the bodies of some beasts.

Kaithlyn compressed several beasts into a psychic prison, then crushed them into pulps, and flung psyche blasts at some more, literally blasting them apart with the force of a bomb. Then, with her dualblade she made a deadly fan to transform the remaining creatures into sushi.

"Where are we, anyway?" asked Xepher to no one in particular.

The answer of that question, Shadowz would like to know as he and Huntagon crashed out of the portal into the same, mad realm.

At first, Shadowz and Huntagon circled, glaring at each other. Then, Huntagon ceased his fighting vein and said:"I had...no idea. That my mistress was controlled by a...demon."

"...anyhow, we gotta get out of this place. Where are we, anyway?" replied Shadowz. "Allies until then?"

"..." Huntagon grinned."You're on."

At that, a faint rumble sounded, and both of them turned around...

...and saw a horde of charging golems, bellowing crazily.

They readied their swords, katana and broadsword gleaming in the violet hues of the amorphous sky.

And charged at the rampaging golems. The two brothers ripped the golems apart, in a scant six seconds and twenty-five split seconds. (This is a little too detailed, yes?)

In yet another portal, the harpies, Nocturna and Ruby were flung out, into the same realm.

Ruby and Nocturna stiffened at the sight of the familiar skies, having traversed here before, and Victoria, Lynn and Eunice shrieked in abject terror.

"No. No!" screeched Nocturna, falling to his knees in despair.

Ruby dropped to the floor, gasping for air in his disbelief and rejection. "...No...not here. Not the Void Prison..."
